Chicago is so [five] years ago.

Last friday I arrived home to find a black box covered in little doodles awaiting me, right away I knew exactly what it was and instantly began screaming. As I ran closer to it right on the plastic wrap around it were small green letters reading: You're in! The package was from none other than my dream college: Columbia College of Chicago. I applied there with no intention of getting accepted into a school I've been obsessed with since the 7th grade, but now here I am five years later officially accepted! I've picked this school over my more "cheaper " "realistic" school ASU, because it's a dream come true and there's nothing better in life than chasing ones dream, so that's exactly what I'm going to do. I don't care that it's more expensive and in a much bigger city, it's a once in a lifetime chance and I'm going for it! So it looks like in 8 months I am going to be leaving the California sun for the cold streets of Chicago. I'm scared shitless, but that's the great part of growing up... I guess.

He Didn't Use Futura?

School started this week and this is the first night that i haven't been either completely tired, obsessing over One Direction, or watching Sherlock. So let's see... where do I start? I now have 5 classes with the same girl, Mia, who I become wonderful friends with first semester and now second semester we constantly see each other, which is really nice. I have aerobics as well, which I'm actually having an excellent time in! I really like working out so it's something I really look forward to, even though I usually complain about it in the morning because its so cold. I've just been very tired all week trying to get back into a sleep schedule, which has kept me from updating but I will try to do it on a regular basis now.

First off I feel the need to say that I am SO EXCITED for the new Wes Anderson movie, Moonrise Kingdom. When I first read about it last year it sounded like an odd movie for Wes to do, and by odd I mean too cliche. But it's actually impressed me! It's nothing like I thought it was going to be and now I think I'm actually more excited for it than The Amazing Spiderman. It's Anderson's same quirky, retro type movie and I'm so happy to see a live action movie from him since it's been so long. As always the sets are treasures to look at, but I am a bit sad that he has ditched his trademark Futura font for a cursive one (at least he kept the yellow, though). But still, aside from the font disappointment I'm going to be obsessing over this until May 25th.

Lately I've been reading Volume 1 of the Sherlock Holmes books, because of that I've become obsessed with the BBC show Sherlock. It's such a great modern adaptation of the book, i could literally pick out lines from the book that's repeated in the show. I absolutely love what the writers have done with it.

Well oh Well

Happy new year blogspot! It is officially 2012, the year I've been waiting for since I first entered school; the year I graduate. I'm excited for what the world has in store for me this year, and I hope you are too~

Now here's the first song I listened to in 2012 (and one of my favorite of all time).
